In medicine today, they’ve made a set of rules that are difficult to challenge because, ultimately, you do not have the medical freedom. When the founding fathers formed the constitution in 1776, they did so by having everything drafted, written, voted on, and approved.
One particular doctor Benjamin Rush wanted medical freedom and he was the surgeon general of the time. What Benjamin meant by ‘medical freedom’ was that all people could choose whatever medicine, type of care, or therapy they or their children wanted.
He also intended for every doctor to be able to practice any therapy or recommend any medicine they desired.
Dr. Benjamin Rush lost by 2 votes because George Washington was lobbied (yes even back then lobbyist were throwing dirty dollars at good men trying to buy their soul) and changed his vote.
Dr. Rush said, “George you’re going to regret this”!
You know what happened to poor George Washington? …He did pay for it a few years later.
One morning, he woke up with severe headaches, fever, and serious flu-like symptoms. So they did what they did in those days….BLOODLETTING!
