Selank is neuropeptide that was developed in the late 1990’s and is also known as TP-7. It is a synthetic analog of a naturally occurring substance in the human body called tuftsin.

Tuftsin binds different types of white blood cells to help create an immunostimulatory effect. This effect helps our body fight off various pathogens and even kill tumor cells.

This Peptide is most commonly used to treat anxiety.

However, Selank posses many cognitive enhancing properties like another peptide related drug, Semax.  Selank binds to the GABA receptors. However, it doesn’t cause the sedative effect of other GABA binding compounds.

Research has also shown Selank to increase BNDF.  This could explain the learning and memory enhancement sometimes reported by users.

There have been clinical trials demonstrating Selank’s efficiency at treating various anxiety disorders. Animal studies have produced promising results in alleviating depression and anhedonia.

Selank provides a sustained nootropic effect with strong antidepressant like qualities.

This is likely due to the compound stimulating the production of ‘feel good’ chemicals in the brain. This includes the chemicals dopamine and serotonin.

The most amazing study I was able to find on Selank, related to repairing brain damage. A study done on mice demonstrated their brains returning to normal after toxin induced brain damage. This study is definitely worth a look over.

Selank side effects

This compound has an extremely low rate of toxicity and most claim that it is side effect free. However, I was able to find some rare online claims of temporary fatigue at excessively high dosages.

How to use Selank

You have probably seen Selank as a nasal spray product or as a lyophilized freeze dried powder. The glass vials will have a small disc inside where the peptide has basically been freeze-dried to ensure stability. I personally prefer using both Selank and Semax in nasal spray form due to ease of use. This study compared various administration methods of neuropeptides (Semax, Selank, and Noopept) concluded that the nootropic efficiency was higher after intranasal administration.

The common dosages for subcutaneous administration is between 200 mcg and 500 mcg. Most people claim the anti-anxiety benefits to occur at the the lower dosing. And the other cognitive traits to become present at the higher dosing. You should only dose selank once daily for 10 days at a time, to prevent building a tolerance to the compound.

The source I recommend is Amino Asylum because they have the highest quality nasal spray peptides I’ve gotten ahold of thus far.
