BPC157 (also known as PL14736 and Body Protective Compound 157) is a pentadecapeptide. This means it has 15 amino acids with a sequence of 98 hydrogen, 62 carbon, 22 oxygen, and 16 nitrogen atoms. The peptide was banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency in 2022 under the S0 category of non-exempt substances.

BPC157 vs TB500

This healing peptide that is somewhat similar to TB-500. However, the main difference, in my opinion, is that TB-500 is systematic and BPC157 is more site specific.

BPC157 helps to repair tissue and to protect it from further damage. It is also able to speed up wound and tissue healing, repair and grow new blood vessels, repair the gastrointestinal tract, protect internal organs such as the liver from toxic damage, and to prevent damage of neurons and other cells of the brain.

How This Peptide Works

BPC157 has great potential in supporting systemic healing and in speeding up recovery processes. This peptide has been confirmed to promote rapid healing of damage to skin, soft tissue including tendons, ligaments and muscle fiber, and intestinal/internal tissue.

Many studies document how BPC157’s ability to help heal various types of tissues. They include:

  • Tendons
  • Muscles
  • Nervous System
  • And Ligaments

This healing peptide supports the formation of blood vessels, especially after injury, to optimally support tissue and muscle with oxygen and nutrients.

Since it works systematically to heal pretty much any kind of tissue, it can be administered in a variety of ways: subconsciously, intramuscular, and intranasal.

BPC157 Dosing

The common dose for BPC157 injections is 250mcg per day for two to four weeks. After my surgery, I mega dosed this in amounts of 500mcg per day along with several sprays of the nasal spray version and experienced pretty dramatic healing effects!

I would like to note that I’ve also experimented with these healing peptides enough to notice that there is a specific method of injection that seems to work better than others. I have found with a healing peptide such as BPC157 and TB500.

This entails taking the entire dose and spreading it out into three different injection points. I prefer administering it in a triangular pattern, around the area of damage. This seems more effective than just one single shot. And I believe that this has something to do with saturating the area with the Peptide sequence.
