GC-1 Sobetirome Review

What is GC-1 and what does it do?

Thyroid hormone regulates the metabolism of food and controls our body’s ability to burn off fat.

GC-1 is also known as Sobetirome. This research chemical is a thyroid hormone receptor agonist. Also known as a thyromimetic, it mimics thyroid hormone without actually being a hormone. To put it in perspective, you could consider this the SARM of thyroid hormones.

GC-1 acts similar to thyroid hormones like T2 and T3 in the body. However, it doesn’t seem to cause negative side effects of thyroid meds like suppression of TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) levels. Other studies show GC-1 to increase  metabolism and fat burning without causing tachycardia, which is a side effect  from using T3.

GC-1 works by turning white fat into brown fat.

There are more than just one type of fat on the human body. White fat is harder to get rid of and increases risk for a slew of major health problems. Brown fat actually helps burn calories and removes white fat out of the rest of the body

Another benefit noticed with GC-1 was the sparing of bone mineral density, something that is reduced when taking T3.

Brown fat is high in UCP-1, a protein that up-regulates fat burning via uncoupling. The latest study in mice showed a 50% loss in fat mass in only two weeks and an insane improvement in insulin sensitivity.

Studies have shown this to be nearly as effective as T3.  But GC-1 is probably a safer alternative because T3 causes suppression of TSH as I previously mentioned.

GC-1 Sobetirome has several unique properties but is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials for cholesterol lowering effects. Here is a study on Sobetirome as a useful treatment for major cardiovascular risks due to its lipid-lowering properties.

GC-1 Sobetirome Dosage

Other than TRT, the only chemical I was taking at the time was cardarine.

I had been taking the Cardarine for a couple months with great results. But It was becoming obvious that my body was gaining a tolerance as my results seemed to stagnate .

Then, I introduced GC-1 at the weight of 227 pounds.  I was eating at 250 calories below maintenance  and saw a final weigh-in of 216 pounds. GC-1 turned my stagnant cut to a successful one, at 2.5 pounds of fat loss a week.

I researched this for 5 weeks at 75mcg dosed twice daily and saw a VERY significant decrease in body fat. The amount of stubborn fat I lost around the midsection and chest areas was especially impressive.

I didn’t feel any negative effects while using this compound at that dosage other than a slightly increased body temperature.

This is a great research chemical for folks who always wanted to try thyroid hormones to ramp up fat loss during a cut. But were apprehensive to do so because they don’t want to burn out their thyroid.

Reliable source for GC-1 Sobetirome

Its very rare to find a research chemical company selling GC-1. And its been three years since I’ve been able to obtain any.

GC-1 is an obscure chemical to source and is extremely expensive to have synthesized. A single gram of Sobetirome will cost upwards of $1,000 from a quality laboratory.

Sadly, the overwhelming majority of research chemical companies do not have the financial backing to make an investment of that nature.

However, Amino Asylum was able to have GC-1 custom synthesized and has it on their site. I was fortunate enough to be given a few bottle to research myself and as this review insinuates.. I was thoroughly impressed with how effective it is.

What was the dosing protocol? Morning/evening, split dose, all at once? With or without food? Thank you. Great website by the way, very informative.

      Thanks for the complement!

I found best results taken on an empty stomach first thing in the morning once per day. 100mcg daily.
