‘Leave the 9 to 5’ Scammers, Content Regurgitation, and Copycat Bloggers

As little as 5 years ago, personal content websites were on fire. But 95% of new blogs are just cringe-worthy platforms for scam artists.

There was a plethora of amazing and original content coming from several blogs that was absolutely top notch. And all the websites were completely different in their own right.

The particular area of blogging that I’m referring to is known as the ‘manosphere’. The manosphere is basically a collective of men’s lifestyle blogs which once offered a huge range of personalities, focus topics, and various niche content pieces. Content ranged  from anything red-pill that men desire to talk about.

However, I feel that the days of outstandingly great content has been gone for a while now. Let me reword that a bit….There is a major absence of new content creators that are actually worth a fuck.

There are more blogs than ever right now and 95% of them are complete garbage.

But there is a specific reason these new bloggers suck ass and its because they are ripping off other people’s content like crazy.

I correlate a hefty amount of these ding dongs as being the result of Victor Pride’s Badnet service. You see, Victor runs and incredibly popular site called bold&determined which pretty much every male blogger has frequented at some point.

Bold&Determined covers a vast array of topics but over the years, its main driving focus is content based around the notion that one can create a business out of blogging and leave their 9 to 5 day job as a result. It’s no coincidence that Victor also promotes his service that will set up a blog for you called badnet, which acts as the call to action in at least ¼ of his articles.

Now, don’t get me wrong here. I still read Bold&Determined and visit it every couple of weeks. And I fully support Badnet and think it remains the best option for starting a website if you don’t know how.  I used it myself in to launch leavingweakness back in 2015 and did a very kind review of it HERE.

However, for every positive there is a negative. And in this case it is copycat bloggers galore who have caused an onslaught of content regurgitation.

A small percentage off the gigantic B&D readership have the notion to use the badnet service and in turn copy B&D’s success formula in every way possible. And I’m not just talking about taking influence from his content.

These rip off blogs all have name similar to boldanddetermined and an identical layout to the overall site design. But it gets worse, way worse..

I would classify 95% of the content as straight up plagiarism.

B&D has been putting out a bunch of content on carnivore diet over the past 3 months. And guess what everyone is writing about now…

My theory on this is that people realize that victor found an amazing formula that works. He is basically the ultimate authority in mens blogging and the copycats think that its easy enough to replicate what he has done to make passive income online. But it’s gotten so ridiculous that the wannabes are even using the same affiliates and even starting to copy his E-books.

Here is a list of what I’ve notice is the most commonly regurgitated/plagiarized content:

  • Why you shouldn’t jerk off
  • Why you should stop watching porn
  • Carnivore or low carb diet
  • Why you shouldn’t smoke weed
  • How to find a obedient and shy girl (I personally find this mindset pathetic to be such a weak fuck, that you only seek someone to be a docile mental slave to your desires. Who’s only purpose is to cook your food and stroke your ego. I love a determined woman who motivates me to kick ass and actually challenges me to step my game up.)
  • Why you should move to Asia
  • Sexual energy
  • Get a more lean looking face or ‘chiseled jawline’
  • Make money blogging
  • How to be alpha
  • How to get Jacked

And the retarded amount of articles named ‘The No BS guide to (insert phrase here)’  is almost cringe worthy. If it is a No BS guide, then you shouldn’t have to state that in the title. The quality of content should be sufficient enough in conveying that message.

But I saved the worst for last…..

The one that really makes me want to puke is how many are doing the ‘How to leave the 9 to 5 and live the life of your dreams’ crap.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m a huge advocate for entrepreneurship because I think that job security just doesn’t exist anymore. I’m all for folks leaving their day jobs and achieving financial freedom if that’s what they want to do.

I myself just left behind a 10 year long career this month. However, Unlike most of these copycat bloggers, I’ve created various articles documenting my journey/process along with the struggles of rehabbing rental properties and starting my online business.

I’m here to tell you that this wasn’t an easy process nor was it achieved overnight. And that’s what really irritates the shit out of me.

Here is the absurd paradox with these content plagiarist.

There are so many of these ‘leave the 9 to 5’ bloggers selling people on some program or service they created to make money…so they themselves can one day leave their on 9 to 5.

So they sell you on ‘How to leave your 9 to 5’  to get you to buy their product, so they can leave their 9 to 5 because they haven’t achieved enough to leave their own 9 to 5 yet.

Thats why most of these hypocrites don’t have the nuts to show their identity on their site. They cant stand behind the words they write because their full of shit and know their whole scheme is ripped off of other people.

Listen folks, achieving financial freedom isn’t easy and it doesn’t come fast. I am one of the few bloggers that actually made it happen. Its not as easy as signing up for some B&D ripoffs bluehost affiliate link, starting your own ripoff blog, watching the money roll in, and being rewarded with spending your life on a beach like the front cover of a Tim Feriss book.

That just isn’t how it works. I still have to devote time to my entrepreneurial endeavors nearly every day in some capacity.

Whether its managing my rental properties, finding new deals, working on my blog, or growing my other online businesses.

The life of financial freedom that I created for myself is something I’m very proud of. And it beats the hell out of working a wage slave job like everyone else. However it isn’t a get rich fast scheme that you can just set and forget.  Most of everything I learned came from reading books like Rich Dad, Poor Dad and failing over and over until I ended up getting it right.

In all reality it takes creating your own economy that possesses multiple stream of income and the patience of a goddamn saint.

There are so many scammers trying to sell people on the ‘one thing’.

Selling a sexy idea for success will always be in high demand and makes scam artist rich. There are millions of suckers waiting for someone to take their money and tell them how to make their dreams come true…all just from doing the ‘one thing’.

They just talk in circles and tell you how great you can be. But there never once is a plan of action or a process. Hmm, I guess you’ll just have to wait till their next $29.99 book comes out.

Having some Ric Flair wanna be sell you on unlocking your potential by doing that ‘one thing’ just isn’t it folks.

I’m no self help guru or a master blog artist. I’m just a man than learned everything he could to get out of the 9 to 5 rat race. Then busted ass everyday to make it happen.

I actually got most of my entrepreneurial education from THESE BOOKS. The other part of my finding success was taking action, and failing a bunch until I found out what worked. I did not learn most of my shit from reading everyone’s version of boldanddetermined.

Let me tell you that it isn’t just ‘one thing’. Its a whole lot of things and there are no shortcuts. Click-bait ads, instagram stories, and miracle supplements won’t get you there.

You want to self improve and achieve your dreams? Then stop looking for a shortcut and go find a goddamn alarm clock.

Wake up 2 hours early before everyone else and work on your dreams every before other stuff gets in the way to stop your momentum.

If this sounds like it sucks, well that’s because it does. But every time you feel unmotivated then try this:

  1. Decide what it is that you want. I mean what you really, really want.
  2. Think about where you want to be a year from right now.
  3. Now, scare the shit out of yourself by envisioning yourself in a future full of regret because you didn’t have the spine to devote yourself to making it happen.
  4. Go buy that damn alarm clock and start getting your ass up early to make it happen.

Fear is a great motivator and a $3 alarm clock is the greatest tool I used in achieving my goals.

I’m all for people creating websites if they have something to say….but 95% of people starting blogs now have no business doing so.

They are only using it as a way to make money by ripping off other people’s material. It’s sad that blogging has become a get rich quick scheme for most, and not a passion.

My ultimate hope is that the men’s blogging community steps its game up. And starts producing more quality content, myself included. Lets stop regurgitating great articles to publish our mediocre version of it to get our affiliate links clicked on or sell another ebook.

The world doesn’t need anymore hardcore dating advice for dudes when it already has goodlookingloser.

Men’s fashion blogs reached its peak with ironandtweed. So stop posting half-assed clothing style articles.

And for the good of everyone, please stop plagiarizing boldanddetermined.

Your not Tony Robbins and your not Gary V, so don’t try and convince people that you are.

Just because some young dude has themselves listed as an ‘entrepreneur’ on Instagram doesn’t make them one.

It has become a fad to call oneself an entrepreneur but deep down inside, they will know if they are full of shit or not.

If your going to try and sell someone on a service to ‘leave your 9-5’, then make sure you yourself have already achieved this. And are making substantial money with your ventures to provide credibility.

I fully understand remaining somewhat anonymous if you still work a 9 to 5 job. Most HR departments are infested with social justice warriors. And I guarantee they are snooping through your personal life on the net. But self employed bloggers should show their face so the world has evidence that there is someone standing behind those words.

Trust me dude. We to know the person behind the words your writing!

The best way to achieve success blogging is to find your own voice. Tell us your experiences, and let the world know what made you become the person who you are. There are so many fake people and mark my words the real people will be the ones who stand out in the end.

Tell us about the struggles you went through that made you a stronger person. It may help someone more than you know.

Show us pictures that reveal the stretchmarks on your stomach. Many of us have them and we don’t want to see photo-shopped pictures anymore.

Don’t show us some fake perfect life. None of us have perfect lives because we are real people and we to see truth no matter how gritty it may seem.

My ultimate goal with this article wasn’t just to be negative. It was to materialize what I feel many people think but aren’t willing to admit.

And the result being better content for all our readers with more originality. Along with a more honest approach to selling people on financial freedom, instead of a selfish means of cashing in on desperate people.

There are a million new formats for content and you YouTube is taking the place of blogs in many ways. I fear that if content quality for bloggers doesn’t re-emerge as top priority…blogs being known as the leading format for content will  soon become a thing of the past.

Because many people are starting to view them as a joke, because most of the new ones ARE jokes.

Here is to hoping that amazing blogging hasn’t become a thing of the past.

Rants, the best way to gain trust and stand out.

Rants always show character and they are honest…

…something which most blogs simply are not!
