AOD9604 is a Hexadecapeptide originally developed as an analogue of HGH with the express purpose of fighting fat. This peptide is actually a modified version of fragment 176-191, which is itself a small extracted sequence of HGH.
AOD9604 was originally developed as an anti-obesity drug. And this was due to its lipolytic fat burning properties. But surprisingly, this peptide has limited effects beyond fat burning.
This means that the many unwanted side effects of exogenous hGH use are unlikely to be observed when researching AOD9604.
Unlike many other GH peptides and secretagogues, AOD9604 does not appear to affect IGF-1 levels or insulin levels. Therefore, research of this peptide would not increase the risk factor in promoting glucose intolerance or diabetes.
Much to the benefit of research enthusiast, this peptide has had some very significant HUMAN STUDIES conducted!
An in depth human study on AOD’s safety and tolerability was pioneered by Dr. Stier Heike, who is considered the leading scientists involved in the research and development of AOD9604.
Phase-2 clinical trials took place in Australia which tested AOD-9604 on 300 obese individuals. The results of once daily administration of the peptide for 12 weeks showed that the peptide TRIPLED weight loss when compared to placebo.
The study also showed that the rate of weight loss remained steady during the trial period. This indicates that resistance to the peptide is unlikely to arise. And that longer-term treatment would result in even greater weight loss!
There is no evidence that the body forms antibodies to gain a tolerance against AOD9604 that would render it ineffective over time.
This is likely because the peptide’s structure is similar enough to HGH that it avoids stimulating an immune system response.
AOD9604 seems to be an extremely promising research peptide as it exhibits minimal side effects and excellent bioavailability in the various studies conducted on it.
AOD9604 Dosage
The overwhelmingly accepted research dosage of HGH Frag 176-191 is between 500mcg and 600mcg. AOD9604 is an isolation within Frag 176-191.
Most people find that using half the dosage of Frag will bring out all the desired research benefits of AOD. Therefore, I have found great success in dosing this peptide at 250mcg once daily as an injectable. However, drugs can have different impacts and effects depending on the route of administration as mentioned in this study.
I believe that this peptide is fairly effective as a nasal spray being delivered through the mucus membrane. I enjoyed experimenting with doing a spray up each nostril, spaced out to 4 times a day. My hypothesis is that even though this equated to 160mcg in total (8 sprays in total), there may have been an increased effectiveness by using it consistently throughout the day to keep it circulating in the body.
I don’t mind injecting but it becomes cumbersome and annoying trying to remember to take several shots throughout the day. Therefore, having a peptide like this in a nasal spray peptide like this can be extremely convenient.

I have never experienced a single side effect with either AOD9604 or it’s close relative hGH Frag 176-191.
In fact the only thing I found in any of the studies were a tiny tiny number of human subjects reported irritation around the area of injection… but that is reported in nearly every study that’s ever been conducted where injections are involved and is usually an issue with how those small numbers of people react to things being injected into the skin and the solvents or alcohols in the solution.
